Semesters
Processes on a university are divided into sections called semesters. A year can be divided in two semesters, a winter semester and a summer semester. However, Studo Flow also supports trimesters and quarters, or just mapping one semester to one year.
Each semester is defined by a start date and end date. It is important, that each day of the year maps to exactly one semester. You can create semesters in advance. However, the current day of the year must always be mapped to a semester.
The data importers only import courses, groups and events from semesters that are defined in the semester configuration.
To comply with GDPR, you can define a retention date for each semester, after which all data will be deleted. If defined in the system configuration, the users receive a notification email when their data gets deleted.
